Each time you print, PretonSaver processes the print job and instructs the printer on how to use less ink and toner. Essentially, PretonSaver's Pixel Optimizer™ technology decides which pixels not to print. Hence, it reduces the amount of ink and toner used.
During the print job processing, PretonSaver calculates the cost of the print job both with and without optimization. The calculation algorithimn takes into account the cost of the ink or toner, the coverage of the page and the level of optimization.
Once the processing is done and the print is performed, PretonSaver will pop up a small notification window that displays the cost of print without optimization, the actual cost with optimization and the amount saved.
Printed pages' costs are constantly calculated and reported, allowing constant visibility and monitoring of savings levels. You can view your total cost and savings by placing the mouse above the PretonSaver. A notification window will pop up that will display your total savings to date and even a prediction of your annual savings based on gathered statistics.
You can view PretonSaver's detailed print report by right-clicking on the PretonSaver icon and selecting the "Reports" option.
