"How much money can I save?"
A typical household is spending anywhere from $200 to $350 a year on ink and toner.
The ink savings calculator will help you figure out how much money you can save by using PretonSaver Home.
Instructions:
- Fill in the number of pages you print on a weekly basis. For your convenience, the calculator asks for three types of printouts: black, color and photo.
- Fill in the average page coverage percentage. Click here to learn more about page coverage.
- Select Saving Mode level.
- Press "Calculate" to see your annual ink cost and your annual savings.
** The calculator is using the following price-per-page numbers: black text - $0.08 per page, color - $0.15 per page and 4x6 photo - $0.35. The cost of ink for your printer might vary.

Want to save even more? Consider the following:
- When you print web pages or draft work, block the printing of images and photos. This will drastically reduce the amount of ink and toner you use. In the PretonSaver print dialog, select “Text only.”
- Configure PretonSaver's default savings level mode to 50%. For most print jobs the 50% setting will provide good quality and high savings.

Recommended Savings Levels
- Set "Saving Level" to 35% for printouts that require excellent print quality. Examples: final print of a contract, pictures, etc.
- Use 50% optimization for most of kinds artwork, for school projects and for work documents. You will find that printouts are of good quality.
- Use 70% savings level for printing web, email and drafts.
