What Is Page Coverage?
The amount of ink or toner used to print a page is directly proportional to what percentage of the page will be cover by ink or toner.
Understanding and calculating page coverage is critical in answering the most common question: "How many pages can my printer print before the ink or toner cartridge runs out?"
The amount of ink or toner used to print a page is directly proportional to what percentage of the page will be covered by the ink or toner. For example, printing a full-page picture (100% coverage) will require 20 times more ink than printing a three-paragraph email (5% coverage).
